  Our Cloud website hosting packages are located on a group of servers networked together to share the work load. A series of high performance servers known as hypervisors connect through controllers and switches. The controllers combine the routing, hypervisors, and high performance SANS to deliver a true clustered, fully redundant product. This ensures websites remain online even during maintenance.

  How does it improve performance and reliability?

  In the event of a drive, cpu, ram, or any hardware failure the cloud will route all traffic to the next available resources instantly thus keeping your website online and improving reliability. Additionally, by routing database queries to a database server within the cloud on high speed 15k rpm SAS drives we can maximise overall performance resulting in faster response times.

• What Hardware do you use?

  Our Cloud servers use enterprise SANS, tied together using Xeon quad core SuperMicro controllers. The ram, cpu and available resources come from hypervisors, each of which has dual or quad hex-core Xeon processors with 144-192GB RAM per hypervisor.

  The Cloud service uses top of the line enterprise Dell SAN's configured in RAID-60 arrays for extreme performance and redundancy. We are able to use multiple SAN's to power dynamic data vs static data giving you the best disk performance possible. The SANS's are connected via 10Gb switching to multiple controllers.

  Our hardware is fully managed and monitored within the data center to ensure that any hardware issues are proactively detected and resolved giving you industry leading uptime and robustness.

• Do you Guarantee Uptime?

  Uptime Guarantee

  Yes, we guarantee a 99.9% availability of your hosting. This does not include scheduled maintenance.

  Service Level Credits

  Should we fail to meet this level of availability the following levels of service credit are applicable

  Downtime	Service Credit
  99.9% thru 99.1%	25% monthly fee or 1 week hosting extension
  99% thru 95.1%	50% monthly fee or 2 weeks hosting extension
  95% or lower	100% monthly fee or 1 month hosting extension

  Clients must contact us directly to apply for SLA credit. SLA credit is only issued in the form of direct service credit, no cash or refund is payable. SLA credit requests must be claimed within 30 days of the affected calendar month end; requests are void 30 days after the month end.

• Do you do Back-ups?

  Back-ups

  We provide a comprehensive back-up strategy as part of all our web hosting packages. We run account back-ups every day as well as once a month and we store our back-ups on separate servers that are used purely for this purpose giving you maximum peace of mind.

  We always recommend that you keep your own back-ups and to help you we provide an easy way to back-up your account content using cPanel.

• Do you Migrate Accounts?

  Account Migration

  We know that moving web hosting can be a pain. At Studyhost we will help take care of your migration process. We can migrate your site files, scripts, images, databases, emails and account settings and help you take advantage of our outstanding web hosting offers.

  Submit an email to [email protected] with the IP address, domain name for each account you would like for us to transfer. Once the transfers are completed you will need to login to your account and make sure everything is ok before updating DNS. Any script reconfigurations or DNS zone edits are on a best case basis.

  There are no fees to upgrade/downgrade your account. If you are upgrading to a higher cost plan your account will be charged based on your billing cycle.
